myServicePad Software Update 5/16/2011

If your technicians currently use myServicePads (or other laptops running the myServicePad software) in the field they should update their pads to our newest version. The new release (4.0.7.0) corrects an email issue experienced by a small number of users.
To update your myServicePad you will need to do one of the following:

You will be prompted for an update to be downloaded as long as you are running software newer than 2.0.4.0. - Or, click "Help" inside the application and click "Check Update"

Critical Software Update 4/12/2011

myServiceForce is excited to announce an Update to our Field Software (both myServicePads and smart phones). If you are running any type of field software (laptop or phone) you should take advantage of this upgrade immediately.
The new release (myServicePad - 4.0.6.0 & Smartphone 5.1.11.0) includes a number of "behind the scenes" features as well as some that you might notice right away. We've included both in the list below:
- Increased stability
- Load-Balancer Enabled - this allows the entire user base to take advantage of our server upgrades in their totality. Your "use" of myServicePRO will now be directed to the server with the least amount of load speeding up service for EVERYONE!
- Increased Security
- Improved Outgoing Email Support - some internet service providers were blocking the standard outgoing email ports. A solution to this issue is included in the update for the myServicePad
- Variety of smaller bug fixes

With the recent release of a variety of different cell phone operating systems, devices and manufactures we wanted to lend you a hand in identifying hardware that is designed to work with myServicePRO from the field. We currently do not support Android or iOS (iphone/ipad) devices. Below is a list of cell phones for the major cellular carriers that are currently compatible:
At&t - HTC Tilt2
Verizon - HTC Imagio, LG Fathom
Sprint - HTC Touch PRO 2
T-mobile - HTC HD2
If you work with a different carrier just shoot us an email and we can assist you in identifying an appropriate field device. The generally "rules" are that it runs on Windows Mobile 6.0-6.5 and has a touch screen.

Now, if you want our advice; GO WITH THE MYSERVICEPAD! It includes a ton of new features (emailing of invoices, picture inclusion, easy signature capture) AND it's meant to be used in the conditions you work in. For less than $500 shipped it's a GREAT DEAL! Keep in mind though, our field software can operate on any windows based laptop. So, if you happen to already run one in your vehicle or have one collecting dust in the office, give it a try. We are certain you will find it easier and quicker to use in the field.

Announcing the OnLine Customer Support Center
Now Customer Support is better than ever. Coming in June 14th, the OnLine Customer Service Center will provide access to the
information you need to:
- Get Set Up
- Get Trained
- Get Downloads
- Get Customer Service
- Get your Accounts just Right
The OnLine Customer Service Center is only accessible by myServiceForce.com customers and only when they log in. It will have
clearly marked departments where you can go for your information. Need to know how to set up a myServicePad, it's there! Need to
download the latest handheld software? It's there! Forgot how to set up new device? It's there! It's all there! But, if you need
some hand holding...it's there too. Just send an e-mail or click the chat function and we'll come running.
Besides the great stuff you will have at your fingertips, we are also installing a new customer communications center with all new
software and equipment designed to improve your customer service experience. It will allow us to manage your needs faster and in a more
personal method as now all of our customer records and service records will be completely linked. Cut-over to the new system is
scheduled for June 12th so it will be ready for start of business Monday, June 14th.
One change for you. Please consider this the best method for getting help from customer service as all forms of
communications will be handled on first in first out basis and because e-mail and chat responses can be handled in multiples at a time
we would ask you to try:
- e-Mail, especially if you need us to fix something. The email link is right there. Just click it and tell us what it is
and we'll get it done for you. No need to waste your time playing phone tag
- Chat, even if you need a phone call. It's the fastest was to request one.
- Telephone call. All calls will initially go to voice mail. So leave a detailed message and we will make sure the right
person gets back to you in a first in, first out basis.
